Vent Free Gas Stove With Natural Or Propane Gas

The gas stove is also called a gas fireplace. The gas fireplace is able to operate off of natural gas or off of propane gas. The most often used type of venting system is the vent free gas stove or fireplace. This venting system will not use the regular chimney that is used with the wood burning fireplace. Before the purchase of a gas stove, you will have to be aware of which type of gas you will be able to use at your home or building that the gas fireplace is going to be set up in.

If you live out side of a larger city, chances are you will need to call the propane gas company. They will deliver a large storage tank to be left on your property. This storage tank is constructed out of heavy steel. The tank is painted with a special type paint that helps prevent the tank from rust. If you are concerned about the tank being in conflict with your landscaping, it is possible to have the tank buried underground. All but the top dome of the tank that allows for the tank to be refilled can be buried. The propane gas company will come to your property and refill the tank as needed, which will depend on the amount of propane consumed by you and of course the size of the tank.

If you live in a larger city, it is probable that you will be able to access the network of natural gas pipelines that is ran to the houses and buildings of the city. After using what is needed, the property is billed on a monthly basis, kind of like the cable bill every month.

Some of the gas stoves or fireplaces will operate off of the vent free system. This is really a vent free operating system. The fireplace will draw in the fresh air from the room it is in. This air is used for the combustion process. This will heat the air and return it to the same room. The leading manufactures of the vent free gas stove is required by the EPA, or the environmental protection agency to use a Oxygen Depletion System or the ODS. This safety feature will monitor the oxygen level in the room. If this level goes down, the system will shut off the gas supply. The manufactures of this system state they meet or even exceed the safety levels required. The burning efficiency of the vent free gas stove is around 99.9 percent due to the vent free system.

The property located in the city may be able to use the natural gas stove where as the property located out side the city will probably use the propane gas stove. If a vent free gas stove is purchased, no regular wood burning fireplace chimney will need to be used.
