Gas Fireplace Logs

The main reason why people no longer want to use real firewood in this new age is because of the effort required to cut up the firewood and of cleaning up the mess. This extra effort that is required is what has given birth to the gas fireplace logs which use propane or natural gas to burn. The amount of oxygen required to burn this logs is quite high, so for your own well being, make sure that you have plenty of space.

They can be used in any traditional fireplace that uses wood to burn. The important thing is that there is a vent to capture the fumes that are emitted and can be harmful to the lungs. They come in three different types. The first kind called the vented logs provides the least amount of warmth. They come in various portable sizes and are easy to carry. They are also the most commonly used

The other type is the vent free logs. The advantage of his is that they do not consume as much oxygen therefore there is no need of a vent pipe to emit the harmful fumes. The way they are constructed is almost like how gas cookers meant for the kitchen are. This is what makes them inexpensive.

The final type of gas fireplace logs is the logs that are partially vented. The worst thing about them is that they do not have a sufficient amount of heat nor are they eye catching. To avoid a fire breaking out, always remember to have qualified personnel put up gas fireplace logs for you. Never assume for one minute it is something you can do by yourself.
